If the application we created in the previous chapter was an empty building frame, now we are going to start designing the room layout and planning the water and electrical lines for this building. In Informat and all information systems, this process is called "data modeling". This may sound professional, but don't worry, its essence is very simple: define what information we need to collect, store and manage, and what connections there are between this information.

At the end of this chapter, we will have built the skeleton of the entire "Employee Information Management System" with three well-designed, interconnected data tables.
